'College magazine anaylsis'

This is the 'college magazine ', the magazine has a masthead with the title ' College' which is similar to a music magazine.  The image is of a student that looks like they attend a college. In the image the student looks decently dressed, and she is standing with a natural posture.  ' The college' magazine also has a  cover line on the boarder of the magazine. The image is taken in a medium long shot.

The magazine differs from a music magazine, as the colour scheme for this magazine is quite relaxed,  the main colour scheme is green, red and black. The college magazine also has a girl standing in a natural posture and music magazine is usually presented with a known artist and the magazine colour scheme, is usually bright. This is to attract a range of audience readers.

The music genre I decided to choose is R&B. Rhythm and blues is a genre of African American music that originated in the 1940s, R&B is also a music genre that combines elements of blues, soul,funk , pop, hip hop and dance.  However, R&B emerged in America during the late 1980s with artist such as Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. Contemporary R&B artist like Rihanna and Usher. The reason I chose the genre R&B is because I have an interest in Soulful music with the additional mixture of Rap, the other reason for the choice of R&B is because many songs produced from R&B singers, sound different from one another, R&B singers brings up topics that make it relatable for people.
